TripAdvisor is seeing a spike in searches amid pent-up demand for travel (and dining). The Wall Street Journal reported a month ago that travel is bouncing back from coronavirus, but tourists are traveling closer to home. The Washington Post reported 2 weeks ago how "revenge travel" is the phenomenon that could bring back tourism with a bang - the restless mood that has people saying, "I'm so ready to go! I want out of here! I'm ready to spend my money!" The desire to travel has only intensified in recent months. Basically, pent-up demand means people’s are traveling further and spending more money in 2021. It seems the pandemic is not changing our motivations as much as it's causing each of us to prioritize them differently. There are MANY opportunities for travel NOW and in 2021, and it's key to start planning. WHY? Because many vacations cancelled this year were rescheduled for 2021, so occupancy is already higher than it normally would be this early. Because of the pent-up demand for travel that has people motivated to book. Because there are awesome promotions and discounts being offered, in addition to amazingly flexible travel terms, which makes all of us more comfortable right now. And because the benefits of taking a vacation are clear: It results in improved productivity, lower stress and better overall mental health. I'm so pleased to share that almost ALL Sandals & Beaches resorts are open (some will be over the next weeks). Between their Platinum Protocols of Cleanliness, being a brand you can trust, and my priority of staying on top of travel requirements by island, it's a wonderful vacation option. The cruise lines are all working very closely with the CDC on specific health & safety guidelines that will enable confidence in cruising again. With many promotions being offered now, and VERY flexible cancellation policies, it's the perfect time to plan your 2021 voyage.
Disney is going to going to great lengths enhancing health & safety measures based on guidance health authorities. From park reservations to temperature screenings, face masks, and modified experiences, it may be different, but it's still MAGICAL! Disney is offering Fall promotions right now - ask me!
Similar to Disney, Universal has enhanced health & safety measures. Right now, you can get 2 park days free when you buy 2-day tickets. A tremendous value! The on-site resorts at Universal really bring the experience full-circle, too.
